Current Research Projects
"The GMC document Tomorrow’s Doctors states that medical school graduates must be able to ‘critically evaluate evidence’ and ‘use research skills to develop greater understanding and to influence their practice. It has been suggested that a period of research might help fulfil this requirement of new doctors.’ "

Those students who have initiated and participated in research have found that the greater links forged within specialities has improved their prospects when applying for positions on graduation.
We currently have two research projects in place:
- Improving Post-operative recovery time in gastro-intestinal patients
- Reducing patient distress through hypnotherapy
This page will be regularly updated to reflect new projects.
